Dear Imre, thank you very much for your warm welcome into your society. I am happy and grateful to have been accepted among you and look forward to meeting many members. I just visited Budapest this past October but will probably  try to make it soon again, maybe next summer, since I was just voted for the next FIVE (a bit long!) years into the MLA Executive Committee on Hungarian Literature. I am on my way to our first meeting in Los Angeles and then to Paris for a Rotary water and sanitation project in Africa. Köszönöm az üzenetedet: igen, megkaptam a meghivot! Sajnos, nem fogok tudni elmenni, mivel (ezt még nem tüntettem fel a profilomon) idöközben visszajöttem az USA-ba, par hete kezdtem el a doktori disszertaciomat a Harvardon.
Remélem mindazonaltal jo lesz az összejövetel, és egy késöbbi IvyPlus eseményre el tudok majd menni!

Thank you for the invite to the next IvyPlus social! I probably will not be able to attend this one as I'm now based in Győr and unfortunately don't have a car to get around in. I'll also have family visiting me all of next week. My schedule is quite ad hoc, but if there's a daytime weekend event coming up, I'd love to join!
